I had a nice weekend at Ivan's cabin. I expected it to perhaps be a touch more relaxing and less energy-draining than it was, but in retrospect that was just silly. I had a nice time though. Especially looking at the stars. I saw my first ever shooting star. It was actually really thrilling.

Dad is here to visit. I'm really glad he decided to come up. It's been moderately stressful about these parts lately with regards to his family. My uncle just got diagnosed with ALS, and so obviously the prognosis is quite grim. One of the reasons dad came up was to spend some time with him.
