Oookay.  So I go out with some folks in my class tonight, trying to be all sociable-like.  Not bad, but kinda boring.  I plan on leaving at midnight, but one of the other girls says she's staying a 1/2 hour longer.  Damn it.  So I stay, then call the cab at 12:30.  Cab comes at 12:45 and I can't find her.  Finally get a text, she's staying.  Damn

This why we're friends. I'm SO with you mediocre is NOT good enough! I'm a perfectionist when it comes to many aspects of my life (not all of course, 'cause then I'd get up an hour early and run in the morning like you, lol!). Confidence and aptitude is NOT being stuck up. Having standards is a good thing. Also, people can't stand being called on their b.s.

As to the crap with the girl n' the cab. I can only sympathize. That just plain sucks.

You're in the home stretch now and you'll be back home and can finally chill for half a second.

*hugs* Thank you. My husband said almost the same thing. He said people don't like to feel like they are lazy and they resent it when someone makes them feel that way. I think it's ridiculous. I'm very honest and straight up with people, and yes, I call them on bullshit. It makes me sad that they feel this way. I kinda sensed that they didn't like me, but I'm kinda oblivious when it comes to social things. Ah well. Almost done. And you are right, it's okay to be who I am. Fuck 'em.

Awww. People suck. And why the hell are they doing peer assessments anyways. How can they possibly be valid when you've only got a vague impression of each other. I suck at social situations too. Unless I'm out with friends, I feel awkward most of the time.

You're almost done though. Just hand in there. Only a few more days. You should pop over and and read the new drabble tree on Conbykink. Maybe it'll make you feel better... or at least a little warmer. LOL!

Yes, people suck. This is the second peer assessment, and the first one was just as bad. I think it is a really dumb thing to do, and it destroys that "team spirit" that the Academy keeps harping on. Because we don't know each other, they are basically rating your personality. I'm not sure which is more hurtful, that they think poorly of me as a SNCO or that they don't like me.

I plan to visit the drabble tree today :) Might even have to contribute, lol.

That's just stupid. You should totally write that in one of your assessments, like if you get to do an assessment of the course itself at the end. You should voice that. Screw 'em all, you're amazing.
