Conby muse iz ded. d. e. d. ded

Well folks, I think my Conby muse has played out. I still enjoy reading the stories a great deal, but I think I'm done writing them. At least for a bit. My last fic did horribly, and I don't quite know why. Maybe people just aren't reading Conby as much, but even people that regularly comment and review didn't on this one. I wasn't feeling writing ( Read more... )

Noooooooo! *performs CPR on muse and gives her cookies* I love your stories and your writing style. You are incredibly good at Conby and I enjoy your stories so very much. I really liked the last one although I haven't read chapter 3 yet. My life the last week has been chaotic to put it mildly and there are so many lovely fics posted that I've yet to read.
If you never write Conby story again know that this is a reader who has read and often reread every one you have written and enjoyed them greatly. I thank you for that bit of sunshine you provided me. I understand if your muse has lost her way but be assured that if she ever finds her way back to Conby I will be here to read it.

Thanks very much. That makes me very happy to hear, and it does mean a great deal to me.

I think that perhaps I just need a hiatus from Conby. Perhaps the muse will return after a break. At least, I hope it does. I really enjoyed writing them.

I have a few thoughts. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that your Conby muse isn't DEAD. Just, in a coma, on hiatus, etc. You still enjoy them in some capacity after all. When my Spike/Buffy muse died, I didn't want to read them, that's how I knew ( ... )

*hugs* I think this is exactly what I needed to hear. Perhaps you are right, and this is just a coma. I think I knew it was coming for a while, but this last fic just really cemented it for me. It was so much work. I didn't have all the joy in it that I normally have whilst writing. Add to that the waning amount of Conby readers and this is the result. :(

It's also true that Gabe has got all my attention. I'll read Conby, write Gabe, and wait for inspiration to strike. Thank-you for this. *more hugs*

You're welcome. I think your Conby muse has suffered some burn out. Mine did too a while back if you recall. You just need a breather and to not worry about it :)

not dead, just resting...please moura1371 January 6 2012, 20:06:02 UTC
I can't write. Not even letters, but your writing is wonderful. I so look forward to updates that you have written something new. I can't see very well, most of the stuff I "read must" be read to me and my reader, who isn't even a fan thinks it' well written. So for all of us who miss the show, we count on those of you who write so beautifully to keep us "seeing" our beloved characters. Thank you.

Thanks so much! Wow, that means a lot that you would have someone read my stories to you. I hope that my muse is just resting, and maybe after a little break, I can get back to it with the enthusiasm I once had. Thanks for this. Can I offer some suggestions while my muse is napping?

I hope you'll read some of my friends' stuff, if you haven't already. PrehistoricCat, Evenstar_Estel, Tay_21, and Rougie (Sunspecops) in paticular are all wonderful writers. Also, Deinonychus-1 writes some incredible stuff, but she doesn't often write Conby. Wilemina's stories are brilliant as well as alyse, and thewritingbug, but they haven't written Conby in quite a long time.

We've all been there hun, especially over the last few months. Don't beat yourself up over it, sit back and take a breather. Perhaps the muse will suddenly refire when you least expect it. Perhaps your heart wasn't entirely in your last fic because it was just at the wrong time - its partly why I now dislike writing for ficathons or to deadlines; I have to write when the muse demands not when others demand. I could never make it as a real writer lol ( ... )

*hugs* Thank you! You're right, and I know it. I just need some time away from Conby. Part of my concern is that I'd lose my lovely friends because I wasn't writing in the same fandom. :( I still worry about that a bit, though I know I shouldn't.

I think I'm going to focus on Gabriel, and then perhaps I'll write some Gen when I need a brain breather from Gabe's story. I started to write on Connor's youth before and stalled. Maybe I'll tackle it again.

*hugs* Thanks for reassuring me and calming me off my depressive spiral... neurotic writers, eh?

We'll always be here, and I am already a huge fan of Gabe so I'll be waiting with bated breath for any updates on what is happening with him. Of course he should be your main focus at the moment and its understandable that other stuff is not your mind's priority. Just please keep encouraging the rest of us neurotic writers occasionally ;)

I was late getting up this morning. Late getting online. Late accessing live journal. Of course I've been late to just about everything this month. Almost late writing my secret santas, certainly late reading them. It's just been one of those long drawn out periods of time that I'm glad is coming to an end - one week to go and my world is back to it's normal schedule ( ... )

Aw, thanks. Yeah, Conby has up and left me, but I hope that they'll return. And thanks very much for your kind words. I'm glad you enjoyed "Trust" I thought it turned out quite good. LOL, just for that, I'll use a fireworks graphic for my next Conby.
