Birds are weird sometimes :) I've got the world's most polite bluetit here, it just keeps on flying up to the entrance and sitting there waiting for someone to invite it inside. You've got to love their antics, better than any soap opera.
"our" Mr Blackbird tries to chase the thrushes away from "his" mealworms, but they're too clever for him - one of them goes in and distracts him while the other one grabs the food ;)
oh, are you already feeding mealworms? or did you feed them all through the winter? I had hung some feeding house onto the balcony, and had a pair of great tits, a pair of blue tits, a robin and a chaffinch as well as some sparrows coming.
I thought about feeding them mealworms as well, when they'd have hatchlings, but I thought it would still be too soon, is it already time?

We can generally tell if the blackbirds have babies, as they cram their beaks full with as many mealworms as will fit and still try to get more in :)
I think it's a bit early for the eggs to have hatched here, but I don't know if the weather's different where you are.
