Mantova - Special "No Foto" Edition

This morning I went to the Palazzo Ducale in Mantova where, like so many other places, photography is not permitted. In this case it was so strict that you were not even permitted to take pictures out the windows. I wish I knew why. The "No Foto" policy is why I always carry a sketchbook.

Usually I do too, only my complete lack of freehand drawing skills means I use it only for taking notes in. This time I am trying to carry only a minimum of things in my day bag to avoid strain on my back, so I was reduced to scribbling my notes on the back of the map my hotel gave me.
