Doctor MotherFucking WHO BITCHES

Apr 30, 2011 22:25

I have many many thoughts about Series 6 of Doctor Who so far. Mostly they involve YAAAY! and other exclamations of happiness. I also have some ideas, about the thing that I will speak about at length behind the cut, so beware: There Be Spoilers A'coming.
1) The Girl/Baby might be Jenny, the Doctor's Daughter. We know she took off for fun and adventure, and it's not beyond the pale to think that she might have discovered time Travel eventually. Shit, Captain Jack had his little Wrist do-hicky, and River travels somehow. If it is Jenny, it's possible she suffered from amnesia like the Master did. Also it would explain her regeneration. This does seem rather unlikely, but I like to think that Jenny's out there playing.
2) Amy is entirely correct to worry that her kid would come out with Time Head, that is Part Gallifreyan. The Silence (who by the way are the CREEPIEST FUCKING MONSTERS IN THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE DAMN YOU STEVEN MOFFAT!) did something to take her child, or take the potential child and used her for something nefarious. Since it's Amy, Rory and the TARDIS' (I'm not including the Doctor in this, since it would kill Rory and honestly I think the kid would be more the TARDIS' than the Doctor's) daughter she's a damn pip, and stronger than the Silence could ever imagine. She has the power to regenerate and pays a deeper role in whatever the Doctor is running from.
3) Something I haven't any freaking idea about.
The point is of course I flipping love this series so much right now that I might just die. Mark Sheppard's character is amazing and I can't wait to see him again. Also I think we all called it about the Gay thing, although I also enjoyed the interracial aspect. Once again, we've got British SF writers saying something so important, so vital but so frankly and calmly that it can almost go over the head of the stupid American head. When the Doctor says "Man just wants to get married. Seems a small thing doesn't it? (Not a direct quote)" he's saying "seriously, folks? This is why we're kicking people out of the armed forces? This is why we're denying them basic human rights?" Nope, in America we get Glee and hammers over heads. *eyeroll*
I do think the ending was a little... unlike the Doctor. I mean it's a great solution but still rather vicious and violent. And untidy. Unless there was someone who was instructed to go around cleaning up all those bodies that no one can remember after looking away there are going to be Billions of Silence Bodies just lying around, rotting. Ew! And smelly.
Poor River! That kiss could have been so hot, but wasn't at all. And let's be fair, it's been a while since the Doctor was anything but a wacky a-sexual man. And never with this body. Sure Amy tried but that was pretty much the same situation. Girl trying to get his Time Lord up and hopping as it were, but he's just not comfortable with it yet. Someday though I hope we get some hot, sweet Time Traveling snooches to enjoy.
I love Rory to death, but I hope he get's over his doubts. Look dude, she married you, she made you pretend to be the Ragged Doctor when you were kids. You're both Amy's Boys, but I think Amy might also be a huge Doctor/River shipper. It is entirely possible she was talking to both Rory and Doctor when she proclaimed to only love them. Emotions are tricky at the best of times, and loving two people, equally isn't the most complicated thing that could happen to a person.
In conclusion: Is it Saturday again YET? :DDD

doctor who!
