Something quite different - a short fic *gasps*

Mar 05, 2013 16:50

I cannot remember the last time I've written a stand alone fic. I haven't written at all since last fall \0/ I won't go into the whys and whatnot, but writing isn't and never has been an easy endeavor for me. But while sitting in a coffee shop earlier today (with time to kill), this came to me so I pulled out a scrap piece of paper and scribbled it ( Read more... )

WEEEE I'm so happy you did this! I'm very happy you took the opportunity and the impetus and did it! And shit, honey, even though I haven't seen this episode, I feel like I have because of this. I love this especially:

Unwelcome satisfaction, a sense of victory overcame Arthur as the immortal blade punctured the other man's chest; deep into the very heart of him.

A slow smile grew across the other man's face - had he wanted it to all end this way? Was it an apology? A debt paid in blood?Unwelcome satisfaction, as I know Arthur wouldn't want to kill Mordred, really. His kind heart I'm sure overwhelmed him and I love these choices of words. And the fact that Mordred never answers him...that's awful and you can see it by Arthur's thoughts here. I can't wait to watch this now. :)))) You always have such a good turn of phrase and emote so easily and well - as I've said before, I learn a lot from reading your descriptors, internal or external. I hope you enjoyed this as much I did seeing and reading it! The way you chose to end ( ... )

Bless you for reading that and thank you for supporting my meager efforts. I'm glad that something came at least! Although I truly do not think it is half as good as you make it out to be. *laughs*

A few of the thoughts that I played upon here will make more sense once you do see the episode - the way Bradley played it gave me the impression that Arthur didn't at first think he was going to die...but slowly the realization surfaces and becomes palpable through his facial expressions...those final two episodes...soooo many feels. And I've been wanting to write some stuff based on it for three months now! Jaysus! All the graphics were easy - but the writing just wouldn't come...until today. Pity it wasn't stellar, but at least it was something!

I love you for the support, honey. ♥

I read it too and of course you will get feedback - if you want it or not *laughs*

i have to admit that I never ever watched "Merlin" because it was not my cup of tea to tell the legend, so I am probably missinng something between that lines in the story you wrote just because I do not know the background story very well. But I really like what you made out of this short fic. I really got the feeling and I always loved (and will always love) the choosing of your words. Very well done and good to see that you had fun to return back to writing (I still have to take that step).

*hugs*
Charlie.

Thank you, Sweet Pea *hugs* I am always grateful for any and all feedback, especially from close friends! ♥

I thought this scene was close enough to a lot of the traditional legend books that most would follow it. And I am glad that you liked what I wrote! It was good that I could at least write something finally! *laughs* You will get there too - we now have our new board just for that purpose!

*big hugs*

Thank you honey, I really appreciate you reading it! I did at least enjoy writing something again. I have had a long mental block and I have had zero time for it for months now. *sighs*

I need to talk to you anyways - I ended up creating a new board for our RPs as that Yuku shite was too annoying.

I have to go out shortly and will not be back until mid to late afternoon my time, but I will check for you on YaHell.

Love you too!!!

I truly enjoyed your tale. It was excellent!! You are way too hard on yourself.

Glad to hear the stitches are out. I'm thinking that maybe your spikes are due, partly, to stress?!?! I do hope things settle down for you soon.

Love and lots of hugs xxx ooo

Thank you, Shelley, I certainly do appreciate you taking the time to read this and to offer feedback. Yes, I am quite hard on myself - but I am certainly not a polished writer either *laughs* And I'm very rusty! My focus is on my graphic designs as that is my business and income - but I do hope that I can get back into writing as a hobby at least.

I do have a lot going on, but I have been doing a better job of managing the stress levels. My physician and I both think it is fluctuations in my hormones. Nothing else makes sense.

Big hugs and love!!!
