My mom always tells me the weather affects my mood. I tell her "No way! I loves the rain. True Oregonian here!"
But today . . . I was in a fine mood earlier. But about 3:30 the sun went away and it started to rain, and I found that all I really wanted to do was curl up in a ball and take a nap. Which I ended up doing. (Odd, because I hardly ever nap.) And now I just feel . . . eh. (Although awake. Which I think is worse.)
But coincidence? Yes.
I'm glad the term is half over. I'm excited for the winter, and the return of my hearted biology classes. Yay! I'm just not feeling the physics. Granted, physics will be back next term, too, but hopefully I won't feel like the term is so useless.
I don't know why I have to take the physics sequence. Of course, some of the stuff from 3rd term might be useful for a pharmacologist. (Damn lumped in with the pharmacologists.) But I've gotten to the point in my educational career where I'm tired of learning stuff I will never use. I don't see this as a potential scenario:
Patient X (because it sounds cool): I am experiencing some side effects from my chemotherapy, so how much Work would it take to push a block with a mass of 20kg across a 12m room at an angle of 37 degrees in 14 seconds?
(Incidentally, the answer is not "Too much, ma brothuh! *heck yeah! high five!*)
I think my annoyance comes from the fact that spring term was such an epiphany. There was this moment where I was sitting in microbiology and suddenly it All Made Sense, and all the classes I had been taking came together in this beautiful moment of clarity. And I was like "Ooooh! I get it now!" And everything I had been learning in the bio/chem disciplines melded into some kind of gorgeous understanding.
Then suddenly here comes physics barreling out of left field going "Hey, look at me, I make your car not roll! Well, most cars at any rate, I can't say that . . . blah, blah, blah." (Statistics didn't make it to the game. Statistics overslept.)
Anyways, I don't like not feeling chipper. (wood chipper?) Oh well, it will pass.
