I'm very introverted! I always wish I was more outgoing.

I can certainly relate. Just don't lose sight of the fact that being introverted is a totally valid and completely OK way to be, too :):)

The older I get, the more introverted I feel. I'm pretty sure I'm about 50/50 intro/extra now. I still need to read that book, too.

You, 50-50? Wow, that surprises me! I've always thought of you as an Extrovert with a capital E. Shows what I know, hehe. Interesting point too about how temperament (or whatever the right term is, not sure) can change over time.

The book is really good, I'd definitely recommend it.

Maybe I'm a little more E than I - I certainly always come up with a leading E in a Myers-Briggs test - but I have pretty much always enjoyed alone time, especially reading time. I do like spending time with people, but the older I get the less I enjoy crowded places or being out and about for being out and about's sake. (New Year's Eve in Times Square is my idea of hell.) With the right people, I can go for hours and hours (e.g., writing conferences, editing conferences, etc.). I slip into extroversion very easily, it's true.

Maybe it's not that I'm more introverted, but that I'm more curmudgeonly?

I find that I've become more introverted as I've aged because I have less and less desire for other people's banal bs.
