I tend to think of myself as a moderate, which means I have voted Republican in the past and I have voted Democratic as well. But the social policies of the Republicans lately are batshit insane, which has driven me to become much more hardcore about the Democrats. I gave money to the Obama campaign. I bought a sign for my yard. Considering how much I generally hate advertisements and the like, that was huge for me. I voted against the Republicans in every race they ran opposed, including one race where I ended up voting for an independent.

I'm just usually a little quiet about it since my best friend is a Republican and I try to be non-partisan in the classroom. But last night? I needed to cheer.
