Hi there! Happy to see you posting, sad that it's got to be due to Tumblr.

It's a major palmface moment.

Me too couldn't get into Tumblr after lj pretty much died, too hectic, too image-centric, and therefore it's not hurting me that much - but it's really a prime example for "having no clue of the user base at all". I don't understand it. Every tiny business must consider its userbase, and the big companies regularly completely fail at this.

I never did care for Tumblr. Maybe a bit at the beginning, when it was mostly artwork. But for fandom, especially for stories? I don't think so. And I imagine a lot of fandom stuff will be coming down, so even more reason not to go there.

Maybe some people will return to LJ. One can only hope. :-)

I could never get into Tumblr. Pretty images but no conversation to speak of, ha. All it was was reblogging and likes and who knew what people thought?

I've been away for 2 weeks and returned to see the uproar about Tumblr. To be honest, it's easy to see the fanartists being annoyed. But as someone who liked the discussions and fandom comms on LJ, I don't feel the hurt much^^
