Long time...

I can't believe it's been over a year since I posted here, but, well, 2020.
When Biden was declared President-Elect, I felt like I could truly breathe for the first time in ages. I know there's a tremendous amount of work to be done, and lots of obstacles, even if Jon Ossoff and Raphael Warnock can pull off their Georgia runoff elections for the ( Read more... )

A fine day! Time to kick the Cheeto out! :)

That sounds promising on the writing front. Good luck! :)

A great day indeed! And thanks for the good wishes on the writing front. I literally have not been able to concentrate on writing for most of 2020. Can't imagine why...
Best of luck with your writing as well!

It's been a crazy ride - I and all my German friends held our breathe all week long until the final (let's hope so) result came in. So I can't even imagine how hard it must've been for you as person directly living under the current administration.

Big hugs and good luck with writing!

Crazy ride indeed! This last four years have been a nightmare, and I was terrified we'd never awaken. Thankfully there were enough of us to say NO! to more of him, though I'm still appalled so many people voted to re-elect him. And he's still trying every dirty trick he can to invalidate votes, though so far every court has tossed out his lawsuits. May that continue!
Big hugs to you too - I hope all is well with you and yours! And thanks for the good wishes on my writing. I'm looking forward to getting started again, and, hopefully, I'll make it a habit, like I have done in recent years, to write at least a little bit five days a week.

Yeah, like a huge weight has been lifted off of us. The next couple of months will be a trial, I think. I can't imagine that horror of a man not doing as much damage as he can in the time he has left.

And, yay, for you starting to write again! Definitely would love some, well, you know what fandom I'd want you to write in!

Love your icon!
Yes, a massive weight, and he's still, not surprisingly, carrying on with the shenanigans. I agree, the next couple of months will be a trial - so much opportunity for him to do damage. He's already begun, as I'm sure you know, with the firings. It's not like there was much competence in his administration, but he'll certainly do his best to get rid of anyone who remains who might be able to do some good, or at least not cause more destruction.
Thanks for the good wishes on my writing! I'm looking forward to get back into the swing of it. Oddly enough, just yesterday, while sorting through a box of old papers, I found 15 pages of an AU K/S story that I started back in the 80s. I haven't reread it, but I've set it aside to look at later on.
Are you doing any writing these days? BTW, I always enjoy reading your book reviews, though I haven't had a lot of time to comment lately.

I recently wrote an UNCLE story for a Halloween challenge, but that's been it for who knows how long. I'd love to get back into writing. We'll see what happens.

Glad you like the book reviews. I really enjoy writing them!

I've been hearing from a lot of friends around the world about their joy that Biden was elected. It's going to take a lot of work to dig out of the hole that "45" put us in, but at least we'll be moving forward again.
