at the very least i'm sure you learned some valuable skills while you were still "allowed". and i'm sure you can put whatever was/is valuable into practice on a personal non-cult non-official-group level.

Yes, I did learn some valuable pieces, insights, & tools while I was there. I was interested in learning more, but that level of control inevitably makes learning difficult or impossible. I shouldn't have been as surprised as I was that it degenerated so quickly. I've witnessed it before. I just hoped for better in this situation.

You say yourself that you keep getting kicked out of most everything!
Is it possible that you are not seeing things on a logical level?
Most of us are most blind when it comes to seeing how we are compared to how others view us.

Stop blaming others and get some fresh perspectives of how you are if you can from any really close friends.

My really close friends see through this situation, too. As I said in my letter, "Getting kicked out is not my creation, except in the sense that there are certain principles I will not betray, even if it means being kicked out." And I am not kicked out of everything, only groups where a really controlling and dishonest person is allowed to employ power unfairly. That that is a common situation is a reflection of a sick culture -- something you claim to know something about. It is worth getting kicked out to find out when this is happening, actually. The groups that do not function this way have proved much more worthy of my trust.
