So it's been awhile since I posted anything. I told my parents today how frustrated I was with my stupid Parent Involvement classes and just classes in general. I started crying. Ugh! I hate that part about me! When I get stressed out, angry, sad, or ANY kind of strong emotion... I cry! But I guess it's good so I can just release all of my energy. ( Read more... )

What have I told you about being cocky? You will be a darn good teacher and you need to give yourself more credit. You need to be so confident about this fact that it is borderline cocky. Does that make sense? Seriously...Kathy...I am going into a classroom full of HIGH SCHOOLERS next fall. Not 5-7 year olds, HIGH SCHOOLERS. They are going to try their darndest to make things hard for me, but I am not afraid in the slightest. I am looking forward to the challenge. I am COCKY about it, in fact. I think I am going to be a great history teacher and I think you are going to be a great little-kid teacher. BE CONFIDENT!! No more worrying!!!!

Yes Parker, I know that you have told me countless times to be cocky. That's easier for you to do than me. My whole life I have been timid, unsure, reluctant..... etc. Not saying that I LIKE being that way... it's just me. It wasn't until college that I became more confident in myself. I used to be EXTREMELY shy and never took charge cause I never thought I could do things better than the next person. So I guess, if you knew me a few years before you would see that the Me that I am now... IS cocky! I guess, just bear with me. Someday I'll end up with that cocky attitude like you, but for now I'm taking it one step at a time. Believe me, I WISH I could be as cocky and confident as you! But thank you for that push in that direction. :) I will try my darndest to walk in that class on the first day with the attitude that "I'm a GREAT teacher!" ;)
