Did anyone wake up and realize they weren't in a post-apocalyptic planet they were used to? And that someone inserted you right into Pleasantville Discedo style? [There's some fumbling.]

Shoot, she followed me here. [There's a bit more fumbling, and soon a new and very female voice can be heard.] There you are, Billy-kins! What are you doing- Oh~ ( Read more... )

[None of what you said made sense to a point, but he gets the general idea of 'I woke up in a strange new Discedo too'.]

Yes.

Does anyone know yet why things are different... where all the other people came from. Why they refer to us like they know us? [It was strange and unnerving. He disliked it greatly.]

It seems like someone has warped or changed reality, but I have no idea who or how it was exactly done.

So like Discedo, we're stuck here. [This is not a question.]

I cannot be sure if I dislike this place more or less than our previous prison.

Yes, unless someone can change this version of reality or undo this.

I'm unsure myself, but the whole 'you lived here all your life but really didn't' isn't exactly a positive thing about this place.

Some boys would kill to be in your position, mate.

Having an almost creepy white picket fence family and an overly affectionate girlfriend? Probably, but right now I rather be back in the normal Discedo trying to figure out a way back home.

Oh sure it's a bit Stepford, but I think it beats fighting off wolves and bats back in good old Discedo.

The food's far better at least.

The whole 'you've been living here all your life' is unsettling, too.

I'll agree to that, and also living in a real city is nice again.

YEP! I was really confused, but everyone likes me, and it's like I'm a human, so it's pretty awesome! I'm super lost but I'm hearing from people I know so I'm not too worried yet.

And it helps that people keep giving me beer.

Sounds like you made new friends too!

Be careful, America. It could be a trap for something. If anything happens, call me, okay? I'll sneak out of the house and try to find you.

Uh, yeah, friend... I'm not exactly used to having a girlfriend.

Okay! But I don't think these guys have any more malicious intentions for me now that pledging's over. Apparently I pledged. And they're chill!

Not too used to having girls hanging off ya at home, huh? Well now's your chance!

Pledge?

I think I'll pass.

'Pleasant' isn't a likely description.

It's an American pop culture reference to the American ideal, just a creepy version of it all.

It's good to hear you're alright, though -- you are alright, aren't you?

I see. America would be weird enough to invent that.

I'm alive. That's enough for now, I'm guessin'. But it sounds like someone's leachin' on ya.
