I'm sorry, I didn't realize it seemed like I was just trying to crit you. That was L just being his analytical, bitchy, I'm-going-to-mope-because-I-no-longer-have-my-manservant-and-it-being-my-birthday-only-makes-it-worse self. I personally think the idea of a Kira/Light ship is pretty hilarious and would be interested to see exactly how that would play out.

Hee. :) It's been a fun ride, I can't deny it. They've ended up with this weird Light-Sayu-like dynamic where Kira pretty much denies that he feels anything for Light, but is fascinated and rather obsessed and ultimately has let him into the family section of his monkeysphere. Meanwhile, Light is so horrified by the knowledge that he was Kira that he can't really believe in himself any more, and at the same time can't quite believe that he was ever that wrong about anything (think of the way Yotsuba Light compares the first Kira's observed ethics to his own). So he wants to understand Kira, to understand himself; he's horrified by Kira's acts, but is afraid he's missing something, because ultimately Kira is just Light, twisted; he can't not understand him. In short, it develops out of mutual obsession, and ends up with a lot in common with L/Light
