Had a good evening last night - went out and bought a cd, which I do too rarely, but I've started feeling more and more guilty about being a filthy pirate type, so I'm trying to do more actual purchasing now I'm not a poor student anymore. The album in question was Fall Out Boy's Infinity on High, because I've become bizarrely obsessed with Thnks fr th Mmrs. Also, I've kind of liked the band since I saw them on One Tree Hill. My resident MIG* informs me that they can be classified as Emo, so it's possible I should be really ashamed of this, but hey, I like country - I have no musical shame (or, apparently, televisual shame).

After musical shenanigans involving said cd and my car stereo at high volume, Dan and I embarked on Project Declutter, which was pretty successful.

I have many things to dispose of including a number of lengths of fabric and things. So far I have several metres of a peachy velveteen, a big length of a heavyweight green satin, a long bit of a black woolen drill stuff, a whole pile of odd coloured linens and a whole bunch of 'misc', including several nice pieces of linen and wool and brocade that just aren't big enough for me to do much with. It's possible I should find someone who needs fabric for children.

I might host a fabric/craft stuff swap/buy/sell/give away evening soon. I can get rid of stuff, try and resist obtaining more stuff, and cater! It sounds like excellent fun.

Now, to work, or something approximating it.

*MIG - Music Information Guy. You know the ones - they can pick songs and artists from two chords, always know what genre something is and can recite entire histories of musical influences. Fairly often they're elitist, and appreciate fairly obscure music. I'm pretty lucky, mine stands my er....eclectic taste in music, and has only confiscated one media item ever (apparently watching Chicago once a day while sewing for a week is Just Too Much for even a Mild Mannered Man)
