Instant TV Viewing Thoughts

Current TV is making me feel mostly empty. But this may be the week I start talking about TV again. Just because.

So spoilers straight ahead. And as usual, shallow thoughts abound. Sorry that's all I've got nowadays. Or has that been always?

Friday Night Lights: I resisted the eye-rolling. Some of these plotlines are making me feel mostly blah.  ( Read more... )

Moonlight: I don't think I love Jason Dohring enough to suffer through Moonlight. Especially an episode that doesn't have him in it. So can someone explain to me why I've endured 5 episodes of this mega death cheese with bad acting??

Because it's so bad, it's....no, that doesn't even work. Moonlight is dire and there is no getting around it. Yet, strangely popular. I think there's a paper in it. I am enduring, but largely to mock.

I still haven't started the third season of Supernatural yet. Is it getting good? I sort of fell out of like with it in the second season because I got bored with all the "I love you, brother" stuff but the buzz seems to be different this year.

Dirty Sexy Money: I must certainly have a thing for old folgies. Donald Sutherland = loooooooooooove. Drunk on tequila, fumbling and giddy Donald Sutherland = cuuuuuute. Me = Stuuuuuupid. Wait, why was Nick so wishy-washy in this episode?

I've finally given up on Dirty, Sexy Money. It's not because I really love Life, which I totally do, but for me competing time ( ... )

Loved the lengthy comment. And I greatly apologize for not getting back to it sooner.

ML: With Beth not taking center stage in Mick's life, I think it's starting to get a little better. This week's ep was a bit of a Beth overload with her horrendous VOs. I cannot stomach a lot of the vampire logistics in this show, but it has some engaging moments. Is it just me, or do you feel somewhat dirty for watching this show? It's inexplicable.

SPN: They've had their share of dull as wood moments, but the last few eps have turned it around. They do well when the stories don't focus too much on the mythologies and just showcase the Winchester banter or relevant characters in peril.

DSM: It's my purely soapy guilty pleasure show. I don't know much about Donald Sutherland outside his roles, but he's always had such a commanding presence for me. And I love that he's just playing around and having fun with the role. Considering the positive reviews I've been hearing about Life, I'm prepared to give it a full shot once the other shows go on ( ... )
