Jack (cat) is ailing, getting rather thin. He's seen the vet last week with "disinterest in food" and his blood work suggests a bit of hyperthyroidism, which would also explain why he's rather annoyingly alert at times

His full name is Dr. Isak Ezekiel "Jack" Jones, which is a pretty good name for a cat. Sometimes we can unironically say, "No time for love, Dr. Jones!"
Thanks -- he's doing better now with the assisted feeding. We hope for a more concrete diagnosis on Tuesday.

My black boy Franklin had thyroid problems, too. Medication helped him a great deal, and improved the quality of the last few years of his life.
He was almost 18 when he passed last year. He just ran out of cat.
