This was one of the most glorious pieces of fiction I've ever read. From Dave's uncertainty to his coming out in his head to dealing with the aftermath of having had sex with Kurt, coming out to his parents, trying to chase after Kurt... this fic just hit all the right buttons of angst, smexy times, fluff, resolution, and catharsis. :D And the research - you wove it in so well into the narrative that Dave's talking about colleges and their pros and cons didn't feel too much like research-pron but felt utterly natural to the process of him trying to find a good college for his future hockey dreams.

Okay, I'm not gonna lie, Dave/Kurt is totally hot when it's done right... and this was RIGHT! Oh man! I couldn't bear to tear myself from my computer long enough to eat lunch even (and now I'm starving...)
Honestly, this is exactly the kind of fic I love the most. Dave realized he had some issues and fixed them then made things right with Kurt by going to Dalton and... wow! The sex scene was totally smokin! I really hope you write a sequel because this is why I check the comms every day - in hopes of finding a non-creeper, non-rape Dave/Kurt fic. And I'm in love!

When Finn mentioned them going to Dalton together on the show, my first thought was, "Hey, I already wrote that fic! Huzzah!" followed swiftly by "But I wanted Dave to go alone! Boo." Dave rejected Finn's offer, though, so I'm holding out still for seeing some real initiative from our boy. \o/

I think I secretly have done more to campaign for stories with the basic plot of "Kurt goes to Dave expecting something rough and receives something tender instead" than any other person in the fandom. It warms my heart that it's now practically on the level of a trope in Kurtofsky fiction. What can I say, I know what I like. ^_^
