Lesson 002 (Video/Action): Welcome to Cherrygrove!

Aug 20, 2010 21:17

[A video feed kicks in, and all we see is a fuzzy hand before Sakaki pulls away from her Pokégear. When it focuses, we see she's sitting against the wall in a Pokémon Center, looking very worried and cuddling a Psyduck in her lap. This particular Psyduck looks marginally less derpy than its kinsmen, possibly because of the towel-wrapped ice pack ( Read more... )

*is it nice and quiet in Hayate's video, as he is taking a break from running around.*

--ah, everyone is working really hard to keep things from going further out of control, so it's not nearly as bad as it was when it started.

As for your question, I've never encountered a Pokemon with a headache before... Are the usual methods for reliving one not working on her?

That's good to hear. [Indeed, she's relaxing a little now.]

Well, the ice pack doesn't seem to have done much to help... I've made sure she's eaten well today, but that hasn't helped either. I don't have any medicine, and even if I did... I don't know if human medicine would be alright for Pokémon to take.

Hmm... Have you tried asking Nurse Joy? They know almost everything there is to know about Pokémon health.

[Osaka looks uncharacteristically solemn as she squats next to Sakaki and her Psyduck.]

Poor thing... maybe it bumped its head.

That could be. I hope Maru-chan wasn't too hard on her when they fought.

[Over to the side, Maru makes a :| face and says a flat "Meowth."]

... maybe she has duck ulcers. Did the nurse say anythin' else?

...She didn't... say anything when she gave me her Pokéball back. I should ask her about it...

A pokemon with a headache? [ Hmmmm. ] Well, you could try taking her to the Center, but maybe she just needs a vacation!

Mm... I'm at the Cherrygrove Center right now. Her health is full, but she still seems to have the headache... Vacation?

Oh. [ Kairi laughs. ] Maybe she was working very hard before you caught her, and now she needs some r&r.

Ah, that could be. [Her voice grows warmer as she addresses Akira.] Do you think some rest would help, Akira-chan?

Psyduck. [Akira snuggles back into Sakaki's arms and closes her eyes. That would seem to be a yes.]

Mm. She was clutching her head all through the fight with Maru-chan.. and even after I got her back from the Pokémon Center.

Maybe it needs some medicine.

I did try using a Potion on her, but it didn't seem to help. And... even if I had human medicine, would it be safe...?
