I was reading in the paper today that Asia is facing heavy food shortages in the future if action isn't taken immediately to prevent climate change. In the last 100 years of industrial development and revolution, CO2 levels have risen from 250 ppm to 350ppm. CO2 levels are expected, under current conditions, to exceed something like 500ppm in another century. Interestingly, pre-cambrean insects--centipdes 1 1/12 meters long--were able to grow so large because of high oxygen content. Basically, as the proportion of CO2 in the air grows, life will diminish. Welcome to the end days.
