Today, I went into the ceramics studio to finish up a project that was due. I went in at ten PM, thinking to be out by one or two am, latest.

NO.

SEVEN. THIRTY. A. M. (And I didn't get home until eight.)

PS: I *did* finish the project though, and it will be the one thing I point at from this class JUST to say, "Look. I'm awesome."

D= That's horrible! What took so long? I mean, you originally thought it would only be a few hours, what made it end up taking over seven hours?

I didn't realize how hard my slabs of clay had become, nor how ineffective my knife was. My first one BROKE, even, though I wasn't sad because it was like, two dollars. And I had another BETTER MADE one in my locker when I went in there hoping to find an exacto. And there was some issues between my paper model and the real thing not going together *quite* right, but eventually they did, so it was all good. And THEN there was the unfactored actions of cleaning up all my edges and figuring out how to get my FOUR HUGE SLABS of clay to fit ALL the peices I needed on them, because one CRACKED.

And now...I've been awake...*counts* 38 hours? Something like that. I woke up at 10 AM Wednesday, and it's currently midnight on Thursday? So, twenty four hours, plus fourteen hours? Yeah, that's 38.
I had like...a drowzy half-cat nap for half an hour. But it wasn't actually sleep.

PS: I WAS NOT THE ONE IN THE STUDIO THE LONGEST, EITHER. THERE WERE *STILL* TWO OTHERS THERE WHEN I LEFT!

HAHAHA...oh, I wish I could sleep. I have nano obligations to attend to, and though that sounds really STUPID (and believe me, it DOES), I'm doing better this year than I EVER have before, so it's become VERY important to me to continue to do well.
Guard me Saturday night, if you would. I should be allowed to sleep in as long as I want, then.
