Update to Journal: Mid-January, twenty-eleven:
So, a while ago in November my computer went through some repairs. I don't remember what went *drastically* wrong, which leads me to believe that probably, it wasn't much. HOWEVER, when the guy came over to repair it, he replaced pretty much *everything* except my hard drive and RAM.

*huggles* Sorry about all the frustration you went through. It seems like that's always the case when it comes to repairing computers. Mine got a virus back in fall and I paid extra (read as A FUCKING LOT OF DOUGH) to have it repaired in two days before I went back up to my college. The Best Buy at my home didn't do it right and nothing worked. So I had to use the Best Buy up at college. Luckily they fixed it for free since the first one didn't. It was just a pain. But yeah, having to reload everything is such a bitch. Blargh.

And I was remarkably calm about the whole thing while it was going on --it wasn't until later that I got so frustrated with it! XD

I use Windows Media Player. Sure, no online content; but I can go into the menu and tell it to remap the library to a particular folder location, and it will fix it all itself. ^_^
It still takes forever, tho.
