Part 7
It was the last recording day for Keita. He was going to leave for Japan the next day. Although Youngbae was still in the room checking him and his so called ‘best friend’, he wasn’t as happy as Keita supposed him to be.
On the other hand, Youngbae was so quiet in his own world that Keita almost thought he was sick. It was until he saw the way the sun looked at the dragon.
After the recording was done, Keita decided to prove himself once again that he was right about them.
“Ouch!” Keita cried out.
Jiyong turned around to see what happened to Keita. “What’s wrong?” he asked.
Keita with one of his hands on his eye said there was something in it. Jiyong tried to see what it was so he leaned really close to him. Suddenly, unexpectedly, the Japanese guy kissed him.
Kissed!
Jiyong automatically pushed Keita away. At the same time, a punch was placed on Keita’s face.
No one said anything and the room was dead silent. It seemed like everything had stopped.
Keita, lying down at the floor, was the first one who broke the silence with his chuckle. He said sorry repeatedly when seeing Youngbae coming to give him some more punches.
Jiyong still speechless because of Youngbae’s punch rather than Keita’s kiss asked the Japanese guy quietly, “Are you alright?” He gave his hand to help him get up.
“Yes, don’t worry about me,” said Keita. He stood up and took Jiyong’s hand.
“Why?” asked Jiyong. Youngbae was still angry. Although he did not say anything, he never left his threatening look from Keita.
“I just want to make sure that what I think is right. And I want to know that you will be in a good hand though it is not as good as mine,” Keita said.
“What are you talking about?” said Jiyong, “It’s not what you think. And it won’t be.”
“I think I’ve got to go now,” said Keita changing the topic, “I’ve had a great time here. And thanks for the kiss. I’d take it as a goodbye present. I didn’t take your first kiss, did I?”
Jiyong sighed and smiled. He then gave Keita a hug.
“You are not as hopeless as you think,” said Keita before he let go off Jiyong.
Keita turned to Youngbae and said, “Don’t make things too complicating. You know what I am talking about.”
And then Keita left, leaving the two best friends at the silent recording room. Jiyong did not know what to do or what to say. So he got back to recoding. Youngbae too went back to his place at the back of the room, surfing the internet.
Silence was to be broken.
“First kiss?” asked Youngbae out of no where.
“What?” Jiyong asked him back.
“Was it your first kiss?” asked Youngbae.
“No,” said Jiyong, “Why?”
“Then when?” asked Youngbae.
“You really don’t know? We have talked about this hundreds times!” said Jiyong wondering why Youngbae asked him such a stupid question.
“Oh! Ok,” said Youngbae. He just wanted to be confirmed that it was not Jiyong’s first kiss. Now that he was in a better mood.
“Why punch him?” Jiyong asked Youngbae.
“Huh?” Youngbae did not get what Jiyong wanted to ask.
“Why did you have to punch him? I’d already pushed him,” said Jiyong.
“I don’t like it,” said Youngbae but he sounded like he murmured to himself.
“You saw me kissing before but you never acted like this,” said Jiyong.
“You never kissed a guy and that was him kissing you. I don’t like it,” said Youngbae.
“So it’s ok that a woman kisses me or I kiss her?” asked Jiyong.
Youngbae did not answer. He could not say that it was ok. Seeing Jiyong kissing with someone else, man or woman was unbearable anymore.
