It all started with
trying to figure out whether I should attend Networking Night and skip out on three meetings (Bible study, Soran Bushi practice, and AAA E-comm) or stay on campus and neglect my nonexistent career/future.
So I figured I'd buy a ticket to Networking Night. It wouldn't matter, then, whether I go or not, as long as I have a ticket so that I can still attend.
Which now means I should learn from Career Fair two weeks ago and buy a decent leather portfolio for Networking Night. I'd also need a decent suit jacket, otherwise I'm going in dress pants and a blouse (the same blouse I wore to career fair?).
Portfolios are quite pricey, though. They have some for under $20 but the rest are $20+
So then I was like "huh, how much do I have in my checking account?"
Turns out I spent $100 in October. WHATTHECRAP?!
So yeah, I need a job. One at the bookstore would be nice (discounts woohoo!), especially since I've been eyeing this fab pair of sweatpants...
Networking Night
Ticket: $10
Portfolio: $16.98
Total: $26.98 for one night, missing three meetings in the process.
And no guarantee of an internship.
