okies. heres a big shiny edit, 8ish months after i first posted this. this is now going to be the 'required' "FRIENDS ONLY! comment to be added because i have no problem with new people, so long as theyre polite and respectful" post. actually, though, before you even consider adding me (if you do consider it), i recommend reading the original post ( Read more... )

i know how it is. my old, old journal, "crash_and_burn," absolutely had to be destroyed, because i could never again go to it and feel what i was feeling when i wrote it. and that's the point of writing. to experience something that you felt long ago. but it was at the point where if i did that, it'd be destroying yourself. true, i deleted a lot of my better writing, but... it was necessary. triage of writing.

anyway, i must say, good luck with it. livejournal can be a daunting bitch.

yea. i dont want to delete it completely (thats why im copying it all to a paper journal), but i dont want people looking in it and thinking im still someone im not. many times, i cant even relate to that person, anymore.

thanks, though; after about two years, im starting to realise that.

nonono. ill continue to write as i always do, but after a week, im just changing it from friends-only to private, unless someone says something before hand about wanting me to wait a while longer on it--if theyre behind or just wanting to reference it for some odd reason.

besides, id miss your comments if everything was immediately private *smiles*

well...if it makes you feel any better, when I hate me I go through and delete posts (generally the ones that people haven't replied to)...have done so on MUDs too *shrug* sometimes you don't want to, and don't want others to see what you wrote and who you were 6 months ago.

thats because youre good like me *nods* and due to some extrmemely complex mathematical formulae made for use in the base 3 system, it makes PERFECT sense.
