sooo who would you rather? mccain or clinton? with the only chooses presented i'd do as i said in the last election "the lesser of two evils"... mmm just think of how pleased middle america would be!
Will this be my sellout year? Will I vote....REPUBLICAN?!?!?! I'm tempted to side with McCain as the lesser of two evils, if only because
a.) His total lack of marketability suggests that he might be an effective and realistic decision maker. I can't shake the feeling that there are a lot of serious problems beginning to surface that have been a long time coming (e.g. the continued ascension of militant islam that everyone who never reads international news likes to say isn't happening, the war Iran is fighting against us that we aren't fighting back in, etc...) and popular sovereignty will always side with the least painful solution (which is exactly what we don't need).
b.)youthful idealism is unhelpful when you're facing an economic crisis that (in my opinion) will probably be more serious than a run-of-the-mill periodic recession.
c.) it's been 8 years, roe v. wade isn't going anywhere, gay rights legislation won't occur on a national level, these probably won't make any significant movements in another term.
I mean dawg, the guy who was in charge of appointing bishops finally admitted that he'd been a underground catholic scenester all along! sup Tony Blizzairrrrr BOO YAH CHURCH O ENGLASS
January, shortly before the archibishop of canterbury conceded that soon there would be little choice but to let the muslims practice sharia law outside of court to prevent terrorist attacks.
My mom talks about these issues a lot. I am severely undereducated when it comes to political/international issues. I can't decide weather it's a good thing or a bad thing. On one hand, ignorance means being blind to disaster, but on the other, ignorance equals bliss. Right???
well, they're matters of paramount importance for the world, but probably only of tertiary importance to you and me. You just have to have a good idea of how personally worked up you're gonna get over them with that being the case.
