Haven't done one of these in a long time
After Biochem and Phys. chem ended in June, I decided to play RO again but not on XileRO because they suck ass now (come back? not until you free the db's from db land!). Now I play on GatheringRO. They're a European-time based server, mainly Germany, but I think it means there a lot more diverse players, including French. :D So here's 1 month and a half's worth of screenshots and commentary.
Starting in Prontera, ahh, nostalgia. GatheringRO has a lot of interesting things, and they didn't hack out half the stuff like Xile did.
Oh yeah, I'd hit that.
The server made a special area for vending, called the Blackmarket, also known as lag land. It's kind of scary, actually. But in a rare moment when the server reset and everyone got kicked, I got a shot of the Blackmarket completely empty.
Headgears are the raison d'être on this server, as they support tons of headgear quests. When I found out there was a France Hat headgear, I just had to have it. Unfortunately the quest was long, involving many other quests before I could even get the materials for the hat itself, and it was hard, especially for a n00b to the server.
Finally got a chef hat to cook ingredients for the France hat.
After a few days oltri joined in the fun. We chilled at the mall and re-learned commands and shortcuts. Unfortunately these aren't animated, but we spun around our spites in place really fast using the shortcuts...
It was rigourous work for the fingers so we had to stop and call it a draw. Besides, there were other commands to try out on this new-to-us server. Like skill-spamming. Incidentally, Tree-tree spammed too much so we had to embark on a rescue mission.
Later I learned of a quest that could take you to Poring land. Ironically it involves slaughtering Porings to get the needed items, but no task is too great for my spamming High Wiz Whitesmith, and eventually I got the needed coins and was ready to go...
...fight God.
Damn, was he a bitch with 3 million HP.
HEY WHY AREN'T YOU DEAD. What happens next is spoilers, but I intend to go back to the Poring Realm someday...
For super-lolz I made an alchemist named Shoppers Drug Mart.
And then one day a GM was haxx and made clones that shrunk people.
SEE OLTRI, I TOLD YOU YOU WERE REGULAR SIZED.
Then one night, some guys were feeling particularly emo, so we got us some drugs.
PDB's item description should have a disclaimer saying not for ages under 18. In any case, when Ruairi's not drugging out, he takes care of his Homunculus, Aimée.
It took forever for her intimacy to become loyal, but she did, and so I was finally able to evolve MY POKEMON her. :D

There was a level-up angel but I was too slow and missed the screenshot. You'd think I was pro at screenshot-taking by now. Size-comparisons,
...but then the catch.
So now I have to feed it another few hundred times again. u_u At least in the meantime, we can farm some mushrooms for alcohol.
...I dunno.
Now that sufficient time has passed, our hunting has payed off and it's time for the best part of RO: DB PARTY!!!
After having a pick at the loot, I got some herbs and asked Oltri to give me a light with her new matchstick.
If there's one good thing to be said about Xile, it's that they super hacked Bloody Knights to Bloody Knight Champs, whose stats basically made them killing machines. There's something masochistic about enjoying db-ing one of those guys and dying after 3 seconds, or sadistic in db-ing one when there are other people on the map and watching it kill everyone. In Gathering, the BKs are normal so our homunculi beat them up rather easily... somewhat to our sadness.
I've become quite fond of the plant cultivation skill, and so, no one is safe from my mad agriculture.
Unfortunately I didn't take screenshots of this story, but it's worth telling to myself again. I partied up with a Montreal-er, and we went to juperos to level up and farm metals. At one point I triggered up the juperos quest, though I didn't know it was that at the time and we went on down the quest chambers. It was cool but with each floor we kept on getting mobbed and eventually got owned. ): But it was fun~! Haha.
This game wouldn't be half as fun if there weren't friends to be silly with. And so there are more good times ahead, I'm sure~~
