Sorry if you're already aware of this one (particularly from talking to Nic/Kath) but the high turnover in Helpdesk, particularly IT Helpdesk, comes from employee dissatisfaction. The awesome thing about it as a job though is that it's a good entry point to other stuff if it does end up giving you the shits.
