Apologies

Dearest darlings,

I love you all so much. I read my LJ every single day and like a loving fan I cheer your highs, sympathise with your lows, learn from your Dragon Age addiction and your stories with shotguns. But for a long time I have neither commented nor posted. Why?

Well first there’s winter. Mean old winter with its sickly rays of ( Read more... )

I am so. proud of you. Three cheers and many huzzas! The site looks good. (I didn't know you played WoW! Favourite classes? ;)

Funny you should post this now, when I've been going around for about the last four weeks thinking I need to change my life and learn to do something that will take me out of the corporate environment and let me MAKE stuff. Only I can't figure out what I want to do, and I think the thing is to try things. I'm starting small - with knitting. I wanna learn to sew, as well. Next year, after the Oz adventure - where I hope we will be able to raise many glass together! - I'm planning on going on a welding course.

*sigh* I need to DO something. Thanks for posting this, mate. Everytime someone talks of reinventing themselves/changing their lives, it gives me more impetus to just get stuff done myself!

Also: Good luck! May your customers be plentiful. I hope this totally takes off for you. *hugs*

My single best piece of advice is to just get out there and give something a go. It doesn't matter if it doesn't work, you'll have learned stuff, and muuuuuch more important, you can't bullshit yourself any more that it's too hard and you can't do it.

Good luck to you as well! Still looking forward to next April... :)

Lookit, Wil Wheaton picked yesterday, of all days, to post this: http://wilwheaton.typepad.com/wwdnbackup/2009/11/get-excited-and-make-things.html

Wow, congratulations! The site looks very cool, even in my sleep-deprived state. I hope it goes really well for you.:)

What sort of drums are you playing? I started learning Arabic drumming, and put it on hold while my back mended, but I really want to go back. Drumming is fab!

Congrats on your progress :-)

What browser are you using to view your site? I get a couple of odd formatting issues in IE and Firefox. Haven't got Chrome.

Must do the catch up dance soon, yes? We'll go to Racecourse Rd for the best gelato I have yet found in Brisbane!

Firefox. It displays some elements differently in each browser, but non I've seen have been a problem. I'm getting pretty design-blind, so let me know if I'm missing something.

Gelati sounds AWESOME. My youngest sister is in town for the next couple days, we could go on a roadtrip if you've got time?
