Just don't be Geordi. Lots of bad things happen to Geordi. Even more than Mr. Scott. :)

I dunno; I think spending several decades stuck in a transporter in the wreckage of a ship splattered against the hull of a Dyson's Sphere would be pretty rough.

Not to mention being Engineer Van Winkle when you're finally able to exist again...
