I'm thinking of getting my navel pierced. Thoughts?

I got my navel pierced when I was a freshman in college. For several years it made me feel really self-confident. I was careful to wash the area and the piercing with anti-bacterial soap, and it never got infected. About a year ago I decided not to wear any jewelry in the piercing for a while. The piercing holes haven't grown in yet, so I could still wear a ring there. The only thing is that I don't think the holes are going to grow in, so I'll probably have a small hole right above my belly-button for a long time.

I would say, if you want to then go for it. The only thing is that it might leave a scar. :D.

Thanks for responding. That doesn't sound too bad (I'm rather proud of the scars I already have :) ). I think I'm going to do it next weekend.

Yay! Scars are cool. :D. Good luck then - and don't worry about it hurting. If you go to a good place then it won't even feel like a pinch. :).

I got it done Friday, and you're right: it didn't hurt at all. :)
