When is ownership of wild turned domesticated ever okay?

terrible idea, pretty much always.

wild animals - even moreso than domesticated animals - are not predictable, and are flat-out dangerous.

it is a different story if you are a rehabilitation center for wildlife housing wild animals appropriately and taking measures to keep them and yourself safe.

that cougar is sweet now - but at any moment it could bite that mans face off. shudder.

Sorry, hit reply instead of leave comment and deleted to fix it :)

It's only OK when you're the only one who is going to suffer for your stupidity (ie get eaten).

The one places where that is okay is at rescue places where they know how to be safe.

Wow, that is never okay in a private home. Wild animals are WILD.

yeah, I wanted to add but forgot: that wild animals can't just go from wild to 'domesticated' in one lifetime. It takes generations of selection. That cougar is potentially 'tame' but still wild and still totally unpredictable.

Ugh. people are so full of crazy.

Wow, that is one tame cougar... or at least that take seems to show one tame cougar. It may not always be like that.

I agree, it's always a bad idea to keep wild animals in a private home like that. Remember the chimp that tore off its owner's friend's head? If one must have a wild animal in the house, then please don't let there be kids or other innocent victims there.
