Totally off topic, but is that a Sun or a Jinday in your icon?

If wild animals were never taken in by humans, there would be no such thing as a domestic animal. That being said, it is highly unfair and dare I say stupid, for people to lump all animals considered exotics or wild into the same boat.

The damage an animal can cause is fixed and constant, the amount of damage an animal WILL cause however, depends on the ownership

Wow. That cougar likes to be petted in much the same ways that my little bengal does. My bengal is so smart and so sweet. Occasionally, though, she freaks out, because, well, she's a cat. You know, she's sleeping soundly nearby, and all of a sudden, something will startle her, and she'll be in my lap, all claws, freaked the fuck out, so I get a little scratched up once in a while. This is why I think owning an animal like a cougar is a bad idea, because they can do so much more damage in a situation like that.

That said, if the animal is injured or for some reason cannot survive in the wild, and the owner knows what they're doing, and they do not have any children or other pets who can be harmed. It's still a danger.

Gods, think about the woman whose face was eaten by her friend's pet chimp. She appeared on Oprah. Don't search for images of her face unless you want to have nightmares.
