What are your thoughts or feelings on having sex in front of your pets?

It kinda creeps me out. We live in a studio tho so there's not much we can do about it. Not like we can shut them out. BUT, sometimes they try to get on the bed, lol. So we gently push them off. "Now's not a good time, kitty." lol.

or how about when you look over and they're just kind of leaning their head sideways and watching you all confused looking?

That's when i toss the closest recently shed item of clothing in their direction, haha. "Here, have a thong!!"

It doesn't phase me.

It phases me a little bit. I mean, I'll still do it with my dog or cat in the room, but to say I don't even notice it would be a lie. I'd rather them be somewhere else. Does that mean I feel guilty for having sex or that I've taken on a maternal role with my pets that I feel almost like I'm doing it in front of my kids? I need to figure this out. It doesn't phase my husband at all. I mean, not until the cat pounces his ass.

I dunno. Maybe it means that your pets make sure you know that they're there?

I'm weird. Back in the day when I was having sex, I didn't mind if my cat was in the room, but I don't like her to be in the room if I'm masturbating. Don't know why.

Ahahah I'm the same way in regards to sex vs. masturbation. The only way I've been able to figure it is that I secretly feel like a huge perv when it's just me and a cat involved with the activity. If there's another human there, the cat feels more like just a voyeur, as opposed to... "yeah, just me an' the cat, things are gettin' hot in here."

It bothers me.

We either shut them out (they're fine with being in the kitchen since their crates, food, papers etc. are there anyway) or, as we did in the old apartment, redirect them off the bed. The worst was trying to shut them out in the apartment. The fussing from outside the door was really a mood killer. =P

Not gonna lie, I feel a bit weird when the cat comes in to stare at me when I'm in the shower.. You turn round to pick up the shampoo & there he is with his little cat face pressed right up to the glass.

It's very sweet to watch him bat at the bubbles but when I'm not expecting it it always makes me jump out of my skin!

hahahah! I wasn't expecting this comment and literally lol'd when I read it. If I don't latch the bathroom door when I'm showering, I'll turn around from washing my face to find my dog chilling with his head stuck in shower and watching me, all, "Sooooo, whatcha up to?" Scares the bageezus out of me every time.

It doesn't bother me, I usually am too busy to think about whether the cats are watching anyway ;-)
