Obsession.

Do your pets have an obsession with an object or room in your house? Do you try to correct the behavior? Do you ignore it? Encourage it?

Brought to you by our puppy's obsession with the bathroom, the shower head, and the door stop in said bathroom. If I lock him out of the bathroom he cries and scratches at the door.

Both of my cats have an obsession with my Rent Cow. They have to knock him over at least once every day. And I don't punish them because I've never seen them actually do it. Just found the cow on the floor!

The current kitty obsession is a brown paper bag, which is definitely an improvement over their previous obsession with wrapped presents.

I can see wrapped presents being an issue around this time of year. Do they just like to tear off the paper?

Yeah, and eat it. It leads to some very colorful litter boxes.

Oh the hysterical laughter...
We had to stop buying rope bones because our puppy would eat them and it makes for very gross puppy poop usually stuck to his butt.

Althea loves tubes. If you finish a roll of paper towels or toilet paper, she NEEDS the tube. She also must remove all stuffing from any toy, but that's a general dog thing I've noticed, at least till the age of two around here.

Sugar is just getting back to playing since her vet visit. She's acting like a puppy again, it's got me tearing up randomly. She used to nest really badly for the longest time. It was horrible. She'd gather every toy in the house, put them in her bed and rip you a new one if you came nearby. When I lived alone in college, she used to steal my Grateful Dead beanies (irony) from my sofa and nest with them. I had to stop leaving them on the sofa or she'd walk off with them both. She liked the St. Stephen one better than Althea (the bear, not the puppy), which amuses me to no end considering the puppy now. =P

My dog eats underwear. Literally swallows it, I can't think how many pairs I have gone through. Obviously an issue especially when he gets my nice pairs.
