so i saw Interpol last night, and it was a pretty solid show; my main beef being that the drum/bass was so fucking loud that it made it hard to hear anything else. i had the same complaint about the Pixies show a year ago. the music isn't all about the goddamned drums. all the "fashionable" hipsters were out, and i have to say that they seem to be

I really liked Interpol when I saw them on the last tour--my complaint with them is that their songs sound exactly the same in concert as they do on the CD.

I don't doubt that the Midwest hipsters seem less cool NOW, but I bet they look cooler in the winter, with their hip layered clothing.

good call; the hipsters have many more fashion options once winter comes that Floridian hipsters never get to enjoy. i'll be sure to send pictures.

as to interpol sounding like the album, i think that's a plus/minus situation. i am often disappointed at how unlike the album songs sound live; they usually sound much worse. and i have some live tracks on MP3 which i think are actually superior to the album versions.
