Man, I know I'm getting old, but I'm really happy I haven't gotten to the wine & cheese party stage yet. I know that sounds assholish. I'm just saying.

it's allright. i feel a certain ambivalence towards my increasingly rarefied tastes, but i don't think i've comprimised my values. fine artisan foods/boozes are valued for a reason, even if we have the (culturally constructed) feeling like it's snobby and should be avoided.

you wanna come, you've invited. you can bring a really dope beer (like Old Engine Oil; man that shit is awesome) you know you my dog, and got some refined esoterical tastes yo'self.

Tell me about it; I went to a beer tasting on Saturday, and yesterday I was trying to find somebody online who would sell me a case of Duchesse du Bourgnogne.

If I was going to be in Gainesville I would definitely attend.

see, you got you some refine-a-ment. i'll see if they have that around here, if you recommend it so highly. (you should check out Dorn's next time you're in town; they got it all) i should make a list of nice obscure stuff to get for the party. a fine Port is near the top of that list...
