you should make a paper representation of their application for when they come in to see you... hold it up in front of them, and set it on fire. then you could say something witty like "this is me torching your dreams, douchebag".

In my line of work, the bigger the jerk, the more likely it is that I'm going to have to work with him or her and swallow the bile because they're "an important scholar" or something. I envy your freedom!

not 5 minutes ago we had an even testier Russian guy come in, challenging our evaluation of his credentials. in cases like this, we can jsut send them on to a private evaluation agency. i guess we do have it easy!
