New Update on Jax

Mar 03, 2008 17:31

New Update as of Monday 03...Jax seems to be doing a bit better. He did pass something... we are hoping was the majority of the blockage. BIG Hairball. However, he still isn't eating that much, and he did throw up this morning a bit. *sigh* He looks like he's feeling a bit better. I just wish he'd use the litter box again so we can get all of that ( Read more... )

sick, jax

*hugs*

I'm glad to hear he is doing better. We had a similiar problem with Bat - he ate some string and it was hell.

I feel for you. Why must they eat none food items better than they do food? *shakes head* Jax's was a hairball we think so in this case I guess he couldn't help it. LOL Tempts me to shave him bald though. *grins* Thanks for the thoughts. *HUGGLES*

when my cat Zane pooped the shoelace, the vet said not to pull on it when it starts to come out,I know it's tempting, but the vet said stuff can get wrapped around, and by inching it out,it an actually tear their insides.
my cat was furious, wanted that thing outta his butt,so once he got most of it out,I SLOWLY helped him guide it out...almost like a female in labour.
hope that helps
this sounds gross, but you can put a rubber type of glove on,and take a dab of dishsoap on your finger, and stimulate his anal glands,if you try to get the dish soap a bit inside his butt,it will work like a soap enema, might help stimulate his bowels...naturally.
the hospital does it with babies that can't poop.

Thanks for all the help girl!! I think he's all clear now. I'll tell you guys the whole crazy story later. LOL I'll remember that for future reference though. I'm trying to keep my house "kitty" proof, but I know it isn't really. I'm sure "the plastic monster" will find something that isn't food to ingest. LOL *HUGGLES*
