an iso is an image that you can burn to cd/dvd in nero by going to Recorder>Burn image. If you just want to extract the image instead use isobuster.

i guess you're trying to make cds/dvds that will play in stand alone players? easiest way for a cd is go to "miniDVD" in nero and put the mpg or dat file in the video folder, for dvd, choose "dvdmovie"

You can also try tmpeg which should convert the files so u can burn them and watch on a DVD player..
