NBC needs to stop being all, "We're going to air these at these really awkward/different times, so that we can make money! Yaaaay!"

I watched it live (well, live on my TV, not in Beijing), and it was SO EXCITING. I almost cried. It was so great! Yaaaaay for them!

i agree, it was epic.

HOWEVER i am so so so so so sick of everyone being pushed aside for Phelps. gymnastics coverage interrupted by a "26 minutes to michael phelps!" bulletin. lezak's amazing comeback overshadowed by cries of "KEEPING PHELPS'S DREAM ALIVE" etc. it just drives me nuts.

swimming is the only olympic sport where 8 medals are possible so i hate that he's getting touted as the GREATEST EVER ZOMGGGGGGG like, look, if the fencing gals could compete in more than 3 events i'm sure they would.

anyway wow this got preachy. still, that relay was sweeeet.

OMG! I KNOW! My mom and I actually jumped up from our seats and started screaming "GO! GOOOOO!" at the TV. I don't think I've ever gotten that excited over an Olympic event before. lol
