On a lark, I Googled my best friend from elementary/middle/high school (we'll call her E), who I'd lost touch with a few years ago. I'd found her (married, no less!) on Facebook, and sent her a message, but wasn't sure if she'd received it, so I went looking for more current contact information. The first hit was for a page on a site called www.longtimelost.com, which showed that another friend from elementary school (a close friend of both of us, we'll call him L) was looking to reconnect with E! L had moved to Australia (his family is Australian) when we were in 6th grade, and that's the last I'd heard from him. I contacted him via that website to say hi and to pass along one of the email addresses I had for E, and also sent E an email to the 2 most current email addresses I could find, congratulating her on her recent marriage, and passing along the info about L. I know this seems a bit convoluted, but I think interesting things will happen soon.
Cliffs Notes: I've started trying to get in touch with 2 people (who were previously very close to me) from my distant past, and I'm anxious to see the results.
friends,
