Wow, what a tough question. All I can do is write my theories about where I thought the fic would be heading
1. Two alternate realities existing together.
2. Sad and drugged up Charles having a dream of what could have been if he had known Moira would betray him. I hope there's a happy ending, maybe Erik finds him in one of his rescue mutants raids. Or hears about Charles's disappearance or the capture of the remaining X-Men.
3. Charles has a very active imagination and dreams up something awful when he's stressed :D
4. Neither is real, but both are premonitions of possible futures.
5. The baby Charles is carrying is Jean Gray and she's projecting her predictions.
6. The baby is Scarlet Witch and she's altering reality based on Charles's thoughts and worries.
...
Hmm, I kind of got a bit carried away. Well, I hope some of this is useful.

I'm really glad that you're so enthusiastic for this fic. I honestly haven't been enthusiastic about it in a very long time. I felt like I had written myself in a corner, and therefore, with my waning interest, couldn't write myself back out. I'm honestly hoping to work on it now and then to make it more streamlined. I love your ideas though. Hopefully, the few parts remaining on this LJ will give you more of an idea of what I had originally planned. (I wrote the majority of what was up on the interwebz in 3 or so weeks in July 2011.)

I often find that my enthusiasm is not shared XD
I'm new to this fandom (since I really just discovered fanfictions) and everyone is an old hat. By the way, all of you writing are so amazing and creative.

I know how you feel. I have so many things I've written and never completed. I'll write something and get praised, then feel lost about how to continue. (My sis says its best to have a vague outline to steer you).
But regardless of whether or not it ends up falling short, they all have great moments. Sometimes I'll go back and read a part in a story that stood out to me, even if I didn't like it overall.
There was one story I wrote for a class. Most people thought the ending was confusing. But months later I would have someone mention a line or image that they loved and stayed with them.

Even if you don't finish this fic, just know I've been enjoying it. You'll probably find another comment here and there :)

Oh and I wish you the best of luck on your exam. May Murphy's law not effect you during it :D
