Need faster service than Plus.Net 2Mb broadband? Use dialup!

Whoa! Loads of useful stuff! Thanks.

The thing that bothers me about OpenWRT are the things that aren't on the Wiki. Specifically:

How to install OpenWRT when your only internet access method is an ADSL modem. (Everything seems to assume you have an Ethernet port somewhere with 100% working internet on it).
How to set up PPPoE without a net connection.
The specifics of WPA support.
How to downgrade to traditional firmware (should everything go wrong).
How to read OpenWRT wiki when your router is broken !!!

My ADSL modem is a Linksys USB2 - it can work as a simple ADSL modem/router, but with one big 'gotcha' - the DNS implementation is broken. Using the gateway for web access works fine - but try and get a DNS entry out of it and you'll be disappointed.

Any hints for getting around these problems?
