Your marriages sound very annullable, if that's a word. However, don't think about this until you are in a situation where you might get married, then talk to your parish priest *at that time*. They're changing the rules surrounding annulments, so cross that bridge when you come to it.

Thank you. I will admit, yes, I am engaged to someone, we've been together for going on 3 years, engaged for a year next month. We're taking things slowly, we're doing this one step at a time, one minute at a time. We've both been royally messed up by our respective exes, so we're both being extremely cautious. Neither of us are Catholic yet, but I want to be, and he's talking about joining, too, but I told him he needs to figure out why before he does, not just join because I am. While I appreciate the support if he joins for me, joining a religion is a life decision that should not be taken lightly, and I have told him this, so he is working through his decision on this. He's going with me (even put in for the day off) to see St Maria Goretti on the 20th of next month when she's here in Columbus. I didn't even ask him if he would, nor did I ask him if he wanted to go, but he sees how excited I am, and I guess he wants to experience this, too, for himself. I hope with her being here, and him seeing her, he'll include that in ( ... )

In that case, talk to your priest. I hope you have a good enough relationship with him to feel comfortable telling him your story and concerns.

Definitely will. I'm still in touch with the Priest that did my daughter's funeral rite for me back in 1998, when I was first new to Catholicism. I think we're (my fiance' and I) going to go through everything for RCIA back home and the annulments and everything back home so we can get established with a Parish and everything so we can get the ball rolling. I don't have a problem talking about this stuff with a Priest face-to-face, it's the childhood stuff that is hard for me to talk about.
