The interview was two hours long (good sign), we spent as much time talking about my eclectic background as the business and the job (and they were impressed, another good sign). They asked why I hadn't applied in July, the last time they had posted an opening, and when I said I had they seemed genuinely upset that they had missed my application (another good sign). They asked me repeatedly if I was sure I could be down there in two weeks, and seemed quite happy when I said I could. And THEN, when the interview was over, WHILE I WAS STILL THERE, all three (station manager, account manager, department manager) zipped around the corner for a quick little conference. I have NEVER had that happen, and if that wasn't a "so which desk is she taking and who's calling her boss" meeting I give the hell up.
My heart will absolutely break if, after all of this, I don't get it.
We're trying not to jinx it, but we still ended up driving around looking at neighborhoods and planning commutes, discussing move logistics (like finding a new nursing home for his mother, etc.). I'll find out Monday or Tuesday at the latest. They have to talk to my boss first.
