It's interesting - forgiving and forgetting. Ultimately, they go hand in hand. I think that once you finally forgive someone, you can let it go and just forget it. Memories are funny like that...at least mine is, anyway - I seem to block out more of the bad memories and remember the good ones only, which I'm sure is what gives rise to nostaligia.
Anyway, more to the point, I think that forgiving can be easy and it can be hard. You just have to convince yourself that some day, perhaps not today, or the next or the one after that, you will find the issue trivial and suddenly it doesn't seem so bad.
The proudest thing you can ever do is swallow your pride.
