So, our phone was out ALL WEEKEND, the phone company "may" be able to get someone out today, but it will probably be tomorrow. I'm at work and our receptionist "watered" her phone last week, so it doesn't work today. Yes, a receptionist without a phone, very useful. AND my husband's sick, and I can't check up on him. What a mess.

I opened my FreeCycle newsletter this morning to find someone giving away a life-sized Tori (Beekeeper-era) stand up! I thought my Tori-Boots newsletter and the FreeCycle had cross-populated while I was gone for the weekend! YAY - husband will be so excited that I'm bringing more junk home! ;)

we went out to the Rongo for Duke Robillard band (blues music) and somehow husband & I got separated at break time. Now, there was no one there, but he sat in the ONE spot I couldn't see him. I am going to a Professional Bull Riding Competition. I've never been to one. Anyone have any pointers?

My father is a republican (middle of the road in his opinion), but does not see the personal in the political. With Katrina's victims still to be saved and the war in Iraq still to produce freedom (or WMDs ;l) how can anyone justify our governmental policies? I had a closing this morning, the guy called back later and asked me out. I had to refuse, as I am married, but I feel awfully flattered.

Let's see - Saturday - I went to the local plant sale (sponsored by the Cornell Cooperative Extension). I had the bright idea of TAKING some of my houseplants (jade & some others) with me to sell, I went with $61, 34 plants & a sign on my little wagon that said "Help a plant addict, buy a plant - Only $1" and I came home with 10 plants & $8. It was SO beautiful & we had such a good time. The trip is kinda long 4-5 hrs depending on traffic, but SO with it! We got a condo up there so we brought our own food - it's so nice having your own veggies & dip or some shimp cocktail that's not $15 each!
